it looked great. ran very very liniear....

like scripted to the tilt.

no point in shooting in one place to kill all enemy's... you have to progress like a movie....

I don't like the gameplay but it runs very smooth. Not much going on in it technically though so meh.

anyone have a link to good screen shots of the game?

the game ran great, the gameplay is good it SORT of reminds me of counter-strikes gameplay and the graphics are good, with my setup I was able to run the demo very well with good resolution and full graphics 2x anti-aliasing the frames never dipped below 28 so I think its great and I already ordered my copy (next day air mail baby!)

That would be quite awesome for you I must say, the reason I still do pick up is to make sure that I get it asap

holding off until Assasin's Creed comes out. I was a Beta Tester on this one, so I've pretty much seen it all. I even gotten invited to Infanty Ward Studios to try this one out.

Personally I never cared for games where I controlled an entire squad. I prefer being a loner that single handedly wipes out thousands of enemies

i ran it full settings until i downloaded forceware drivers for timeshift and permanently destroyed my video card which doesnt work with dells nor nvidias nor forcewares drivers.
so now i run at 16bit colour at 1600x1200 which is stretched on my 16:10 screen blue dotted lines everywhereeee
i can run 32bit colour but only if i run at ugly low resolutions

Runs amazing on the 1730 I have now.

I would go in store and pick it up but the nearest store is a more than a couple of miles a way and I dont have car with me at college so.....shipping all the way
and on a side note if your thinking about ordering it, order it from gamestop and enter NOV10PC in the coupon code thing and you will get 10% off the game.....just thought I'd let anyone who wanted to take advantage of that deal know

Nice tip

I tried the demo, and believe it's yet another COD with a modern setup (i.e. the game title). Very scripted, arcade gameplay, some nice visual graphic elements, but a poor use of lighting IMO (no dynamic lighting indoors, as compared to the older Stalker for example). I will pass on this game, which is a blessing considering the great games that are coming out this month.

I expected this month to be great, however so far Crysis for me turned out to be a $20 bin crapper item and assassins creed isn't coming for PC until next year.

Anyway, just picked up CoD4 and will be enjoying it thoroughly within the hour

What turned you off this much with Crysis? The poor performance ?

There's also the Gears of War PC port expected this month, which I haven't played on the Xbox360 and was told a lot of good things about.

EDIT : oh, and there's the new Soldier of Fortune too expected this month. It's been a long time since I exploded some limbs à la SOF
