I'm sure Vista will start working fine once Microsoft readies the next OS for release. XP is working great for me.

I haven't even looked at Vista, and won't until DX10 is viable.

I'm now waiting for nehalem processors and the 9 series vid cards from Nvidia. I was told by a little bird that this combo will make even penryn systems being introduced now, obsolete...

i believe they were in Vista, but in XP I had to enable it myself...

I would assume it will be enabled, I had a 5750 w/ 2.0 C2D and MCE and both cores were enabled as well

Congrats. Welcome to the Alienware family man! And what Frank said, how do you enable and disable a core processor for Vista. I seem to be having a problem with the C2D in Vista and my games...

well w/ XP it's a hotfix...forgot which one, but you can Download it from various websites

oh it's not that you can disable or enable the duel core, but some manufacturers sometimes "forget" or ship out laptops w/out the hotfix that enables both cores

I had Razer Barracuda's once and have one right now. Honestly, the audio quality and comfortability is among the best I ever had, BUT the total experience is just spoil by it's SubWoofer or audio control or whatever you called that. It must be tucked somewhere around you and it's kinda fragile if you asked me. My first one broke down by wear and tear (trust me I am of those guys who really take care of their things, imagine I still have my elementary pencil box that I used like 14 years ago, when I was 7 years old). I was shock but I really like the overall quality and get the 2nd one. The subwoofer always hanging and expose to nailing your table even your chair (if you not tucking it anywhere on you. If you did tuck, you won't feel flexible to move freely as you maybe want, coz you always have to take care of the woofer). The woofer isn't heavy but a little too heavy for it's use and kind, make it moving or wobbling disgustingly and superbly-annoying.

It's weird that I still have and use the product but this experience is serious and real. I don't even realize how annoying it was until I write this. It was like you never really realize until you were about to review or comment on it, even tho it's a discomfort that I "manage" to "adapt" with. I don't stop you for buying but you definitely will understand what I am talking if you had it.

So my suggestion will be try anything but Barracuda; or you could try wireless/bluetooth. For cooler, i use this one :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...cific%2bbreeze.

All i can say about it is the cheapest cooler that doing the best job it supposed to. It cools and looks cool too.

they might have had a computer that was the same specs that someone cancelled so they are using it...probably why its moving so fast...

or they hired some extra aliens and are shipping systems out faster...
