Bad drive-new drive&drivers in but loads of yellow ?

hi all
Ive had a problem with a Compaq nc6320. The drive failed so I tested it to death and found it had in fact failed.. I had all data backed up so a new drive it was... I reset the bios to defaults and installed the new sata drive...I then re-installed xp pro sp2.. the disc that came with the notebook marked "driver recovery CD" would not boot... so I
I then went to the hp website and d/loaded all the relevant drivers. I have installed all these but still have loads of yellow question marks over other devices.. Ive spent the last 5 hours trying to fix this, to no avail.. any ideas?

just to clarify, ur laptop is up and running but missing devices drivers?

remove the drivers that are marked via the device manager. then reboot the machine and let the drivers get redetected. If you have the option to search check online when the drivers are installed and you are connected to the web then I would recommend doing this.

what happened when you tried to boot to cd?
