Oh, I'm soooo sorry... 6.95 pounds isn't 7 pounds... What in the world was I thinking??? Rounding up that 0.05 pounds... Boy is my face red... :
6.6lbs, vs 7 lbs........thats basicly half a pound.......a typical 6 cell battery weighs what.,.....tad less than a pound? OP didnt say he was gonnna get the 1680x1050 rez screen did he? cause thats the only option that came with the 9 cell battery

and seriously, i type the way i do because missinformed people get trendy advice here

we have, since around 2005ish, a trend with gamers who now what all the eye candy they can get.........before then it was just pure preformence and fps.....

this is why the advice given for the most part is screwy.......no one ever questions what AA or AF or whatever shadowpizleator they can run

its always res, yes you can run cyris at 1900/1200, with loooow eye candy, its doable, but really it comes down to the person asking, no one wants to run 1900x1200 with out eye candy, so in theory that guy in that other thread is SOL, but i told the truth, you could play it, but you wont have eye candy on

see how our truths differ from one another?

it always will

You love to slam users every chance you get don't you? Your way overreacting. Its fine to point out something, but its nonconstructive to add your little personal attacks when ever someone disagrees with you.

And no..........Crysis with 2-5fps at 1900x1200 with a 7950GTX is not doable, I know, because unlike you I tried it.

how very nice of you to say that i should attack everyone when they disagree yet you disagree with me and are doing the same thing

Whatever man. The settings were low. I said my peace. To each its own.

I guess it all comes down to what you are willing to put up with.

I myself have always been a person willing to trade fps/high-res for eye candy. I tend to run games on the fringe of playability (20-30 fps average) in order to get the absolute BEST-looking gameplay I can. I never followed any "trends". This is why I have always used Xtreme-G drivers -- higher IQ is always good IMHO.

If you're willing to put up with lower framerates and lower resolutions in order to turn the eye-candy up, then you'll be fine. If you're one of those freaks who "needs" to be running at 60+ fps at all times at insane resolutions, you won't be.

Simple.
