How to have windows logon on my external display

Hello,

I have a M90 on a docking station with an external monitor (+ keyboard+mouse) connected to it, running windows XP SP2.

When I boot (M90 closed on the dock station), everything is displayed onto the external monitor.
But the logon screen will display only onto the internal monitor (no more signal on the external monitor).

How can I have my logon (and session) coming directly onto my external screen ?

Who is responsible for chosing the display ? Windows ? nVidia drivers ? some DELL software ?

I don't currently have my laptop connected to an external display, but I did last week. While I was configuring it, there was an option to do as you asked in the Nvidia control panel. I believe its a tool called the Monitor Configuration Wizard. I am using XP SP2 and driver 92.77.

I don't think your Laptop's detecting that the screen is closed. My Latitude acts as if there's NO internal LCD when it's closed in the docking station.

You might also for craps and giggles change the boot priority to "dock video card" in BIOS just to see if the dock video outpout will take priority.
