Symptoms of a failing 9880 mobo?

Hi. I just had my 9880 mobo "repaired" by Sager. One of the chips that causes the "Operating System not found" error needed to be resoldered back onto the main board. Anyway, they told me the mobo was fine but things still aren't quite right with it....both of my browsers, firefox and IE usually hang after about 30mins to 1hr of use. After the browser hangs, my entire taskbar freezes and nothing responds. Clicking on folders and directories on my desktop however works, but by then, everythings is just really slow like if the OS is a about hang.

Do you guys suspect that these issues are a result of my 9880 is giving out soon? What are some other symptoms? I've had this mobo for about a year and have never had any problems with either IE or Firefox.

By the way, I have a nVidia 7900Gt, and I notice sometimes I get a message saying:

XXX program has stopped responding to the nView Desktop Manager...Would you like to halt nView from managing this app?
...or something to that effect. Does this have anything to do with it?

You'll probably find better diagnostics of your situation in the Event Viewer.
Judging from your description, I'd guess you're not too experienced and you'd be best off having someone like Geek Squad look at the machine and see what's going on.
It may need a fix disk or defrag or an updated driver.
Failing hardware may not be the issue at all.

Looks lke a system wide performance problem. Whatever is causing the browser to freeze may be causing other programs not to report to nView as expected. Could be a heat related issue. Maybe a component was damaged during the repair effort such that even if your operating temps are normal, you might still be suffering symptoms caused by a heat damaged component.

Consider sending it back to Sager. You're still within the new mobo warranty period so they should fix it for free.
