Mac Office 2004 Question

Thread Starter
I have to take a Computer Science class next semester and it requires me to have Office 2003... and the problem is, I would have the Mac version instead of the microsoft.

Now, I'm just wondering, other than the looks differences, are there any other differencs between those two softwares? Like, are all the functions located in different places? Or are there just more functions added to the Mac?

I just don't want to parallel my Mac with windows. Just seems too complicated for me and I'm just afraid that that will give me more chances of getting a virus.

Office 04 and Office 03 are pretty much identical in terms of functionality, there are a few differences, but if you are just needing it for Word and PowerPoint then you will be fine.

In fact, even if they do say that you have to use Office (and you don't already own it) you will actually be more than covered if you were to use NeoOffice (free) or iWork ($71 edu price)

also if you buy Office:Mac 2004 you can sign up for MS' super suite deal to upgrade to the 2008 Mac version when it is released. All you pay is shipping on the 2008 version. :-)
