Crysis Released! (early) for download - Page 7

That's funny 'cause Futureshop is owned by CC. BB also states a tomorrow release, and they even want $10 more for it.

They should have never given retail copies to any of its developers, marketing people, promoters, reviewers, or anybody else that gets a copy of it before it reaches stores...that would have saved the game from being cracked and uploaded, and saved them a lot of chaos.

Not if they kept it under locks. I mean you honestly think its a developer who leaks it? If they sent it to stores the night before its released, that would help, and I think thats what they do.

lol ppl still have to test it There is always a way unfortunately.
Yea, shouldn't the testers/developers be the one testing it though.

Its a shame. For once in my life, I feel like the developers of this game deserve my hard earned money, no matter how slow it may run in my PC.
yup.

I am just starting to hate the steam type games

ones where you get limited times to be able to intall on your hdd, and it is based on current machine ID.

you need the internet to validate the install.

that really sux.

then I would say I would d/l the game I purchased so I can own it.

cuz the games that you have to validate like that you never really own.

and if something happends to ther validation server or the company. the game might be useless.

i like the lesure of being able to install the game whenever I want with or without net, and sleeping easy that 20 years from now I will be still able to play the disc if I so chose to do so.

damn this game looks good... Time to install it on Vista
post #132 of 227
Let me know how it runs on Vista. Think you're gonna be ok trying to play it on only 2GBs of RAM w/Vista?
Maybe I'm just a game drama queen but I just cant accept less than 60 fps. I just cant. That's why I dont game anymore though

Oh and the only games I really think are fully worth my money are Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid, CoD, Unreal, and Half-Life. I still pay for the rest but ah, it just doesnt feel right.
I'm sure you meant to include Half Life 2 and its expansions

yeah I will be more than fine playing on Vista. I only use 600MB when I boot. Crysis uses about 900MB I am waiting for it to finish installing.
really? even on higher resolutions it only uses 900MB? That seems kinda low IMO

Well I am having issues with Vista. Running 169.04 drivers getting weird artifacts, esp when I enter cloak mode. Just working on a few things then I will get back to you guys.
Try the 169.09 ones. Supposedly they're optimized for Crysis.

Futureshop is owned by Best Buy not CC.

Hey, I just bought the game and been playing it for awhile. It's great but unfortunately performance is as crappy as the demo was . The demo was a sample of the final product. Oh well, guess I'll start saving up for another 8800GTX for my desktop, blah.
