Crysis Released! (early) for download - Page 9

Well beat it (on hard) Pretty intense game..only one area I did not like ( floating abyss of hell).. The ending leaves plenty of room for expansion... Overall I loved it. AI could have been a little better in a few places I spose but the game is very immersive. Definitely room to play it a few more times!

I really got it for the MP though.

Sol, you're a machine. You've already beat it? Shit...

1024x768 with stock Dell drivers.

I am going to try Tony's 169.09 drivers (as soon as I can figure out how to download them from work) and compare to Dell stock drivers with the same OC.

I'll step up to 1.24v with a stable OC and try that as well. Will post results here...

Note: I'm using the included Crysis GPU BM, not FRAPS.

Update:
Stock Dell drivers 450/650 OC - 28.10 FPS

Finished already? You ARE a machine. How long did it take?

took me a little over 8 hours. Next time I think I am going to go a little slower & snipe my way through the game.

So I get the following FRAPS on my SLi 8800GT Cards

Min 52
Max 111

oh you are running a 4:3 setup. 1280x1024 would be fine.

AT 1280 X 1024 and High Settings

Min 24
Max 52
Avg 33.53
damn that's SLI? I guess playing very high @ 1920x1080 is out of the question huh
post #176 of 227
I thought Crysis didn't run in SLI properly just yet?...

Or maybe it's patched?

That just doesn't seem very quick for SLI. My single 8800GT gets an avg of around 30FPS with 1360x768, high settings and 2AA.
ok... just tried the 169.02 drivers (latest WHQL drivers from the nvidia site). The crysis benchmark was 1 FPS slower than my previous drivers (167.26 I think). I'm going to hunt down these 169.09 drivers now and try them
post #178 of 227
And the verdict on the 169.09 is that it is 0.5 FPS faster than the 169.02's which means it's still a touch slower than 167.26.

So the conclusion is that with my hardware, none of the drivers seem to be any better than the others. Perhaps there are compatibility problems with other programs that I haven't tested, but at least that answers my question about Crysis.

I think I'll go back to the WHQL 169.02 drivers now

that is odd that you are not getting any performance increase with those drivers. Everyone I have talked to has recieved a decent FPS boost from the 169's. what are you pulling on 3D06
post #180 of 227
Around 11,800 or so if I remember correctly. I didn't run 3dmark06 after the driver changes, though; that score was with the 167.26 drivers.
