Crysis Released! (early) for download - Page 2

Geez what's the hurry? I'm not buying Crysis until it is proven to my liking that I can play it without setting everything to low. Even on low, my laptop still chokes in some areas of the single player demo, and I'm pretty sure it's the CPU. "Low" hardly looks as good as Far Cry, and it's even frustrating since some distant objects aren't rendered, like the rock an enemy is hiding behind.

Unfortunately, my 7800 GTX Go hasn't benefited from the recent drivers on any Crysis video settings. As far as I'm concerned, Crysis isn't released until I get around to buying a new computer. So maybe this summer.

Im not much to talk crap, but EA has dropped the ball on so many things, that I usually second guess a product released by them.

Well now its officially released early. Its been on torrent trackers for about the lats 24 hours thanks to a hacker called Razor1911.

there are so many good games released recently:

- call of duty 4
- quake wars
- gears of war
- bioshock
- orange box
- unreal 3
- world in conflict
- sega rally revo
- witcher

so why buying crysis? all these games definately look better when run on max than crysis on med/low. and i can play all of them on max (didn't try gow yet) with at least 1280 res. i'd only think about buying crysis if i'd have already bought all the other games and own a 8800 ultra.

The beauty is in the details of crysis

-non-scripted explosions
-shadow detail, which includes shadows for individual leaves.
-character detail
-the nano-suit (sweetest idea I've seen in a long time)
-etc

Im about to give the leaked retail version of Crysis a spin. Im hoping for high settings @ 1680x1050. Think that would look better than 1920x1200 with low settings?

true, but gameplay is not really innovative
and i would only play it, if i had a system which
could run it with EVERYTHING maxed out at a
decent framerate. maybe next year.

I'm gonna have to go as far as to say "lol" to those questions if you're talking about the system in sig

I am wondering when the mods are going to step in lol. This is about the LEAGAL release of Crysis, not how to attain a pirated copy. If you want to give out that info I suggest you use other methods.
I'm not giving any info on where to find it or anything, nor am I encouraging it. The only reason I'm downloading it is cause I want to test it out on my system first before plunking down $50 only to find that it doesn't run as well as I would like it to. If they released an official demo of the finished product, well than that would be different...
