try it out or look at it.

maybe I did something wrong.

I loaded this too my card and now I have good results.

my temps are lower.

i know that sounds stupid but @ 625/730 my temps were in the 90's now they are on the 70-85 's

@ 650/730

zzpulp, did you have a look at my rom? or ghost?

did I do it right.

and nissan, insulting again.

please stop insulting.

if you want to contribute. go ahead.

you seem to have something against me.

I speak what I know. I admit I am always learning.

I can't use your BIOS cause my card is a A01 revision, and yours is an A00 one. Last I heard they don't play nicely with each other. I wonder if Dell intentionally made the A01 BIOS so people wouldn't be overclocking the snot out of their card once the got past the overclocking lock.

did you look @ it in nibitor.?

i just am wondering if i modded it correctly.

Then continue your learning by reading up on physics, and learn that if you keep everything but voltage the same, and increase the voltage, your temps will go up. And once again, its not my fault if you take these suggestions as insulting.
Well the only thing you changed was the ability to overclock, and the increase voltage right? Kraziepops hacked my A01 BIOS a couple months ago so I could overclock, then I just dumped it last night via ATItool, used nibitor to adjust the power 3D voltage to 1.32, saved it, then flashed it. Those are the only changes I've done to it.

@ nissanztt90: It could be the old BIOS was improperly reading temps, or it could be the new BIOS isn't properly reading its temps. Ether way, its his card, so just leave it at that.

seriously, please stop.

I am telling it as I see it.

I overclocked my card and increased the voltage.

and the temps are lower in my benches.

if you don't have a m1710, or a 9400/e1705 with a 7900gtx so you can help or again should I say Contribute????

walk away.

Please stop harassing me.

Nope, dont have one....but i used to, i know quite a bit about modding this cards BIOS, but you dont seem to want to listen to me anyway.

Ill leave you with this though: Ever consider the 7900 GTX core isnt capable of running more than 1.24v and that when it sees more than that from the BIOS it reverts back to a lower voltage, thus, your lower temps? I went down this road along time ago bud, leave it at 1.24v before you destroy your card.

And by capable, i dont mean the core itself. Something is restricting it, like a vreg or something.

thank you.

I said this before earlier.

I thought there might be a regulator in the card that prevented me from going to 1.32v.

I wanted to know if I did mod my 7900gtx bios right.

could you please take a look at it ? to see if I did it correctly?

thanks

I can't compare BIOS cause mine isn't a A00. The ONLY changes you need to do are change the hex value so its unlocked and you can overclock. Then once thats done, open it in nibitor, and change the Power 3D settings from 1.24 to 1.32. Those are the ONLY changes you should have done.

yup, that is what I've done'

after I did that I could overclock .

when you did it you couldn't oc at all?
No I can overclock, but I can't go any higher than when I was at 1.24 volts, and I dumped my BIOS after I flashed it, and my dumped BIOS read 1.32 volts, so I know @ least the BIOS was telling it to use 1.32 volts, but as stated above, maybe the core doesn't actually use any more than 1.24.

/how high can your 7900 core go @ 1.24

590/690

hmm, that's pretty good.

You run that stable?
yes. ATItool runs for 20 mins without any yellow dots or artifacting. 3DMark 03, 05, and 06 all run completely, and I've also had an all-nighter of Gears of War on it.

The BIOS does not read temps, the driver does. The bios does however store the temperatures to throttle at.

Oh, and the bios you uploaded is not unlocked.
