Remove service tag when selling laptop?

I am going to be selling my laptop soon and was wondering about removing the service tag. Should I remove it so that it can not be used to gain personal info? I guess I'm not really sure how many ways the service tag can be used. I know that I can remove the sticker, but the service tag also shows up in the BIOS setup menu.

Also, what about the Genuine Windows or whatever sticker on the bottom? It's for XP Home, but the laptop has XP Pro on it, but I didn't know if I should remove it for security reasons as well?

No...there's no reason to remove the service tag. Whoever buys your laptop wont be able to get any info on you just by the service tag.
Also, you are fine to leave the sticker on the bottom. I'm assuming XP Home came with the laptop so leave it there.

I would say you should DEFINITELY NOT remove the service tag. Yes, it is tied to your personal info, but Dell doesn't give that out plus you can do a change of ownership when someone buys it. The Service tag number is essentially the serial # of the system.

If the COA on the bottom of the laptop says XP Home and you're running Pro on it without having a licence for Pro that makes it a pirated copy. You can leave the COA for XP Home on the Laptop, BUT if you're keeping XP pro on there the purchaser will need a licence for XP Pro. Don't know why you bothered, the only difference between XP Home and Pro is that Home can't join a domain and does not have advanced file sharing.
