Aspire 3050 Will not start. As if in sleep mode.

Hi guys!
First I thought it was the contact problem with the power adapter then I fixed that problem. Now it simply turns on and and does nothing. After awhile even the fan comes on properly. But the laptop has no pic nothin no hardrive movement nothing.
Any idea?

any lights blinking? Does it sound normal like it's booting? as in, can you hear the hard drive grinding?

If you can hear it booting, your LCD's backlight is out. You can tell for sure if you hold the screen under a bright light, you can make out the normal display on the screen faintly. I've had to replace a few of those. It's fun work!

yeah m8 i have the exact same prblem, i checked the screen to c if i can see the normal display but i cant there is nothing on the screen. plz help

Shoomy, did you take it apart and maybe not hook the video cable up correctly?

Tear it apart and try again. Also try taking out the small CMOS battery for a few mins.
