After I was told by my boss to be the test subject for Vista Business, (and getting it for the home) I would have to say that having a viable XP Pro system available is a good thing at this point. Things may get get a bit better with the release of SP1 for Vista, but that won't be until Jan '08 at the earliest. I really like Vista but there are still some incompatibility issues that I am encountering, especially with my HP all-in-one printer. I can't connect it via the USB to my desktop, as this will cause Vista to recognize my HP Photosmart 2610 as the C: drive. While I am able to connect it via ethernet through my wireless router, I cannot use the scanning or fax feature via the software-Vista won't get those features to work, even via the downloadable software on HP's website.

i hate when companies tell you what you are getting on a purchase and thats it... kinda like toyota and their new cars you cant change anything... the more options i have the better off i like it... i wish the m9750 came in different colors like green, blue, and orange color, and also have a dull finish or a shiny finish...I will not buy a computer from a company that only lets you have vista... I dont like having something forced on me when i dont want it...

I use Vista at work and I can't get my Firefox to stop crashing, my windows mail to stop crashing, I lose network connection when my screen saver kicks in, our profiles get fuxed when we move workstations, you have to take off all the widgets any fancy graphics anyway, "switching users" is a waste of time...let me just type my user/pass, I freaking hate having to get my boss to escalate my machine so I can delete shortcuts off my desktop and much much more I can't even list right now....Pisses me off too much to care.

I have not crash yet accept for the IE browser crash, I had try to run like 8 virtual PC boot up and down, open, few WoW Clients, Windows media player...basically I try to put alot of load on the system doing all different thing at once, so far it been help up well.... knock on wood

I prefer XP at this point. Performance under Vista is a problem. You need to have a lot of RAM to run Vista. You should not even offer 1 GB because you really need 2 GB.

I'm using 3GB of RAM on my desktop and Vista is running fine. Although, 16GB would be very nice indeed.
