How to reinstall GPU bios?

Thread Starter
Hey guys. Through some freak occurrence which I still don't understand, my Go 7600 seems to be unrecognized by my system. I tried several of the newer video drivers and none of them worked. In the device manager it appears as "Video Controller (VGA Compatible)". I emailed the distributor and they sent me a bios for it.

The problem is, I don't have access to a floppy drive. Is there a way i can reinstall the GPU bios?

Thanks.

Check my signature on making bootable media. A flash drive is your best bet.

Assumming you have not tried to flash your video card BIOS and you are getting the ""Video Controller (VGA Compatible)" in device manager; then the video driver is corrupted or the chipset drivers are toast.
When you do a manual re-install, you have first install the chipset driver then the video card drivers in order for the drivers to identify the card and then install into operating system correctly.
Antoher added problem is that many updated video card drivers do not recognize most laptops and the driver installer will give you a "no supprted hardware is installed". The answer is go one of several website that speacialize in producing modified video card drivers that are designed for installation onto laptops.

latopvideotogo.com is a good place to start for nVidia GPU's.
