Well, since my Ferrari is officially dead now, I'm looking for a newer laptop to replace it.
I've narrowed my search down to a couple candidates, I'm just having a hard time deciding which one I like better. Just wanted to get some opinions from other people as to what they would choose:
Acer Extensa 5420 vs. Acer Aspire 7520
Both have similar processors, and I want to go with a dual core Turion no matter what.
Both video cards seem fairly close in specs, both have DirectX10 support, I'm leaning towards the Ati though because of better vista driver support.
I like the Extensa cause I think the black finish overall will hold up better to constant gaming/web editing etc. where the Aspire I think will show hand wear etc faster.
The Aspire has the bigger screen/double hard drive capability which would be nice for all the crap I download plus since I'm not on the go a whole lot the extra size and weight isn't a real issue. Plus I have a few blue tooth devices that would be nice to hook up without needing another adapter.
The prices seem pretty close overall. I really don't know at this point.
I'll be using it for gaming a lot, a lot of web editing/photo editing and some programming here and there.
Anyone own one of these yet that can say how their experience is, or just any opinions at all?
Thanks!
