of course everyone started offending me and called me a cheater. understandable. however, i have never cheated in my life and really wonder what happened. was this some kind of bug? after that i left the server and on the other servers everything was back to normal. does anyone else know this kind of situation?
That's what happens when you take 5 shots of absinthe before the game. I sometimes see myself flying too.

are you serious????

my 7950 can't do that.

My bro's 8700 SLI m1730 can't do that.

Im with you. People's definition of smooth or playable is very different than mine.

With my M1720 (2Ghz C2D 7950GTX) I run that game @ 1024x768 with 2x AA and most goodies turned off.

This allows for 50-60+ FPS during intense battles.

then you must do something wrong. actually this game is pretty modest when it comes to sys requirements. look at my sig:1280x800, all max, aa&af&shadows&vsync&softsmoke off, 50-1xx fps.
my good friend can even play it at 1024x640 (but everything graphic intensive turned down), and he is using an ati mobility x1400, a low end card. can't be right, that your 7900gtx performs like his x1400...
my oced card has lower performance than yours at stock clocks (especially at lower resolutions). did you oc your card? which driver do you use? anything in the background? windows vista? actually i would REALLY expect your rig to run it well at 1920...

Im hoping your right because I've been a little dissapointed with the performance on this game

Im actually planning to format the system today. And try the 156.65 drivers.

I currently run XP Pro, alot of services disabled, no A/V ,the latest 169.09 driver and never bothered OC'ing. I still get graphic errors only in this game (my gun and team mates flicker) So im starting to wonder about a specific problem with the 7950GTX. What about power optimizer? should I be disabling this?

actually powerminzer only goes on, when you run on battery...
i use the 169.04 driver from tony and they are fine.
never experienced any flickering.
and this game runs even better than stalker, tr: legend and a lot of older titles...
sorry, you have to try around...

i found out the source of the issue. it's a bug within the server. happens on some servers occasionally. the signs for it are: you can't pick up weapons & you can't be killed; it disappears after leaving end reentering the server;

btw: i think you guys were right with the p90. i played with the p90 with silencer & stopping power & precise shooting from the hip perks, and i owned a lot of games by just running and gunning. you win a lot of close quarter fights this way. and the gun is freakin' precise (that's what i like about it).
actually a good fighting tactic (in free for all mode) is to position yourself in a room, which you defend with claymoures & p90 and hopefully find a sniper rifle or a fixed machine gun there, so you can take people out through the window when noone comes at you. i won quite a few games like this while having an incredible kill/death ratio (40/5 sometimes!). never was so good before. however, you can replace the p90 with a shotgun for this kind of playing for similar results. still the p90 is far better for run&gun action due to it's longer range and better precision.

just updated the driver to 169.17 vista, i get about 80% fps increased.
