im not sure what you mean by complete checkup...

but you can run diagnostic utilities in windows to check temps, fan speeds, etc.

run dell diagnostics

run memtest

honestly if you havent been seeing problems during usage, there probably isn't a problem.... and its always safe to go with warranty anyway, never know what might happen..

Warranty is expensive, but if you have any problem with your Laptop for example it wont turn on Dell will replace anything to get it working again. Compare that to paying $800 for a new motherboard etc to get it working again when the Warranty expires. Warranty is more than half that for 2 years.

The best you can do is to follow Bigee1212's suggestion, and run diagnostics to see if anything has failed at the moment.

There is no way to see if something is "on it's way out" and predicted to fail in the next few months. This is pretty much the equivalent to asking whether a stock will go up, because you don't want to buy a stock just to have it go down in a few months.

I don't know how long you have had your laptop, but I can pretty much tell you that SOMETHING will fail on your laptop at some point in your ownership of that machine. And when it does fail, it will likely cost more to fix the problem than the price of a warranty. I never buy extended warranties on products, with the sole exception of laptops. Never in my entire life have I regretted spending the money on an extended / full service warranty.
