New Mac User - Some advice please

Thread Starter
Friends,

I have just moved to the Mac Platform today and I have a few questions:

1) When installing Leopard, should I do the upgrade, delete and install fresh or delete the partition and create a new one?

If I do the 'Delete and Install' option, do I use the bundled software on the Tiger disks to obtain the other Apple programs e.g. iLife 08?

2) I tried watching a few videos on a news website (www.news.com.au), however it will not play as it keeps directing me to install Windows Media Player to view the video.

I noticed Media Player 9 is no longer supported by Microsoft.

What can I do to allow playback on this PC (plug-in)?

Thank you.

Please explain your situation a bit better. What system do you have? This is a used computer?

You'll need flip4mac installed to view windows media.

Perian is a great set of codecs to pick up for Mac, and as Triadone mentioned, the specific codecs you need will be Flip4Mac I believe.
