I posted this in peer to peer, but that forum seems inactive. I'd appreciate any help on this.

Suddenly, I can only hear system beeps from my speakers. I've tried to troubleshoot the problem, but I don't really know where to begin. The sound card does not seem to be recognized by the computer. I've reinstalled the drivers and no change. When I look under the device manager, it looks like the car is recognized but "not started"? I've gone under services and startd everything even remotely sound related. No change.


Any idea how to start to figure this one out?
