Hello,

This is Richard from Dell's Online Community Outreach group. Your Inspiron 6000 is able to be upgraded to 2.13 GHz Pentium-M Dothan processor. The memory can be upgraded to 2 Gb with speed of 400 MHz or 533 MHz. Finally, the hard drive can be upgraded up to 120G.

Thanx very much for your help and for responding Richard, i'm looking forward to upgrading my i6000 in the next couple of weeks, just one more question, you say the hard drive can go up to 120 Gb, can you explain a little how that works, there is a 120gb limit? i was hoping on getting a 160 gb, well thanx again...

Please forgive the later response.

The 120 Gb hard drive was the largest drive to be sold with the Inspiron 6000. However, technically you sould be able to place in a 160 GB drive. You would remove the old hard drive from the hard drive carriage (#2), and install the new one. Then side it into the computer.
