Firmware Udate 8790 **ADAM**

Supposedly my order was sent to Sager yesterday I’m not sure if I will receive the revised 8790-S that has the firmware updates for the fans. If not, will Sager post a BIOS update on there website for who do not?

I just received my 8790-S today - it replaced the 8790-S I sent back due to 2 stuck pixels. Thank goodness I have a perfect screen this time around with no dead/stuck pixels. I think I have this new bios update because the fans are quieter and the startup of the second fan is noticebly more graceful than it was on the 8790-S that I sent back. No more roaring sound... although that sound didn't really bother me anyway. I know it bothered some people. But it is nice that it is quieter.

I just started loading drivers, and stuff. Later I'll try some games and see how the fans behave then.

The Function F10 will tell if you have the new firmware - The fans will start to ROAR if you have it. Otherwise, you might have a more "well behaved" unit.
