need service guide for Aspire 5610z

my laptop is 6 months old and suffering from interesting display problems. the screen will go black or flicker and then compress to 1/4 inch size. joggling the monitor angle generally fixes it but the problem is getting worse.
Since Acer's support is worse than crap (don't answer calls, return emails etc) I am trying to get a service manual so that I can take the box apart and see if its just a loose wire...
According to the user guide, the 5610z is also known as Aspire 5680/5650/5630/5610/5610Z/3690 Series

I may be wrong, but your laptop looks like the Intel equivalent of the AS5102, which has the AMD dual-core. I've posted a link to that SG on this forum, so as long as you're not tweaking the processors or chipset, you should be okay- if I am correct in my assumption...

Not trying to plug them or anything but having trawled the net for a copy of the 5633 service manual I gave in and bought a copy from notebooksolutions.ca

Not that I'm endorsing them, and there are most likely other places that sell them too but I was in a rush to get a copy.

Though realisticaly service manuals should be free from the manufacturer, even if you have to request it by e-mail or something. Would be nice to see manufacturers offer service guides once the products go EOL but thats for another thread.
