Hi,

I am trying to fix a problematic laptop for a friend and I've narrowed the problem to overheating - the processor fan works but rarely comes on so the chip over heats and the system shuts down (I guess the temerature sensor is dead). My question is does anyone know a way to make the fan stay on permanently? The BIOS is very limited and I cant see anything in xp.
