For owners of the dv9500(t or z) with 2x250GB hard drive configuration:
Does your computer make a random click noise originating from the hard drive bays every so often?
I have been unable to pinpoint the reason for it as it is quite random, but it will just make a loud click noise (from the hard drive area) as if there is a bad head or something. All tests are negative, and the laptop runs absolutely great, but it makes these click noises.
Seeing as how it is brand new, I have contacted HP support to send a replacement hard drive (which isn't expected in for another week and a half)...but I have minor doubts about it fixing it as both hard drives seem to make the noise (the primary more than the secondary, though).
The odd thing is that when the click noise occurs, the HD-activity light goes solid for a second.
The HD models I have are both Samsung HM250JI 250GB 5400RPM.
