I'm wondering if anyone could tell me if it's a possibility to upgrade the memory to 2gbs and maybe a new video card? Is there an extra slots and how easy would these upgrades be to do? Does anyone know any devices that are compatible with this laptop? Thanks a lot

I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

i used to have a dv2000 and i am getting a dv2500t here in the next week or so and i can tell you that you can upgrade the ram and hard drive (at least) and not void your warranty. as far as upgrading the ram goes just make sure you buy the right type of memory and just remember that the laptop will only have 2 SO-DIMM slots for memory.
the video card CAN NOT be upgraded as that is something that is built into the motherboard on this particular model. there are laptops out there that use a special graphics technology called MXM that allows you to upgrade your graphics card but this laptop does not have it.
