I was using he mobileforce 94.20 drivers for a while and they worked great. I recently upgraded to the 169.04 M4's s and they improved the performance of alot of the newer games out so I liked them even better.
Well, last night I decided to do a fresh install of wnindows and took it as an opportunity to try some different drivers out. I tryed regular ole' forceware 163.xx something and noticed a decrease in FPS in BF2. So I tried the 169.40 (NON-mobile force) and noticed a drop in FPS as well.
SO! I went to atitool to overclock a little bit and realized...the 3d view was only showing 300-320FPS average
. I went back to the 163's to test it and i got the same results! I could have swarn I was like...up in the 5xx's with the mobile force!! So I went back to the 169.04 M4 Mobile Force Tweaked drivers and sure enough...I get an average of 520-550FPS in atitool, stock clocks. I also got a huge increase in FPS in all my games. I already knew I loved mobile force drivers but DANG!
