Bios Update and Crazy Fan problem

Hi,

I have this new acer notebook. It's frickin cold in my house and it is set on top of a cold granite counter. Than fan keeps going on every couple minutes like crazy and it is very loud. I was looking to see if there were any bios updates for my notebook model 4720Z but the acer website does not seem to offer any bios updates.

Is there a way for me to control when my fans go on?

Have you checked in your task manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL) if you have some program running at 100% CPU. Sometimes my Firefox browser will do that with certain websites. That will surely cause the fan to run at full speed.

Yeah i just checked. Nothing running at 100%. Fan keeps coming on every 30 secs. Really annoying.
