Is it the one that base on CATALYST 4.4 ??

From I've read 4.4 doesn't work well with Farcry and UT 2004 ...

...only one way to find out...Omegas are optimized for gaming though so perhaps they won't suffer from this...

They've put up an "a' version of the new drivers to resolve an issue. You might want to check and make sure that's the version you currently have.

question for you all, do you update the display drivers everytime they make new ones? I updated my desktop drivers a couple times and it was always problematic, (ati 9700 aiw) errors and such during installation, so Im a bit sketchy about doing it here with this computer. I guess the question is do any of you get errors or experience any problems when you install the new ones?

Also correct me if I am wrong, but these drivers as near as I can tell just seem to have minor fixes from one generation to the next, so is it worth updating every time they come out, or am I missing something?

Thanks for your replies.

I've updated them every time they've become available (3 times now, I think) and I've never had a problem during any installation. It's been smooth, quick, and trouble free.

Alot depends on who is making the driver to say whether it is worth it or not to upgrade every time a new verison comes out. I know ATi has a history of having problematic driver releases in the past, but I hear they have gotten better. Having never owned an ATi card before I don't know. I will say that my room mate has a ATi9000 that he just put in his new computer and we put the nexest drivers on it and quick time doesn't work.

For NV people, newer drivers usually means they found some new optimizations to get a few more FPS out of our dismal FX cards.

I got this from the readme on the omega website.
OMEGADRIVE here!
This are my "optimized" drivers for the ATI Radeon family of video cards.

What's New? (2k/XP 2.5.36)
* Based on the Official Catalyst 4.4 drivers.
* Updated the Omega version of RadLinker (1007). Many thanks to ChrisW!
* FastWrites is now an option when installing.
* Fixed support for Mobility 9700.
* Fixed support for 9800SE cards flashed with 9800XT bios.
* Added a fix to solve Gamma problems in some applications and games.
* Removed some old tweaks that are no longer necessary, this should give
a small speed boost to some games and applications.

Has anyone tried the recommended motherboard performance bios settings that are on the omega site?
