Sony Psp V.s. Belkin Router

Ok I bought a Slim and Lite PSP yesterday, and i'm having trouble setting up my internet connection. I have a Belkin F5D7230 and it seems like it doesnt want to let my PSP connect. After setting up my network under the 'Infastructure Mode' in 'Network Settings', and testing the connection I get the error:

A connection error has occured.
A connection to the access point could not be established.
Check security settings for the network and try again.

Here is what i have done:
*Gone through all the settings both automatic and manual and tried the IPs, Mac Addresses and Password types.
*I have even DISABLED security alltogether and changed the disabled PSP security setting.
*I called SONY and they said that there ...might be a problem with my PSP's WiFi transmitter/reciever. I have until the 20th of december to exchange it, hand-in-hand for a new PSP just like that.

Here is what i would like to know:
* Has ANYONE set-up a PSP with a belkin router and if-so tell me what u had to change to get it to connect.
*Has ANYONE had any problems like me with their PSP WiFi settings.
*Do i need to have a connection strength of above 50, 60, 70, 80 or 90% to get it set up.
*Any tips or information that could benefit me with my situation

IF YOU COULD HELP ME IT WOULD BE SOOOOOOO GREATLY APPRECIATED

SONY told you what the problem more then likely is bad WiFi, exchange the PSP and try again. If the new PSP does the same thing then I would start trouble shooting the router.

Found out the problem and it wasn't the WiFi in the PSP, but infact that PSP runs on b band. I found out when i was mucking around with my router and changed it from broadcasting g band only to both g and b. Ended up talking on msn to my friends on eBuddy.

I was going to do this reply on it, but typing on PSP sucks. Its like using a mobile keypad but with 4 buttons.
