D900T Motherboard problem?

Hi everyone, my name is Davide and i'm new to this forum.

I am having problem with my clevo d900T on booting and from what i read in this forum it seems to be the "common" motherboard fried problem. Can anyone help me on how to be sure that is the motherboard and not something else before i buy one? If it's the motherboard what details do i need to order another one? Is the model enough or do i need to specify anything else like bios version and hardware type (video card, chipset model or cpu type)? I found one on ebay that says it's for a D900T intel chipset like mine, do you think it's the right one? I've read on this forum something about an update version of that motherboard that allowed control of the fans speed (fun+f12) how can i order this version if compatible? As you can see i'm not an expert that's why i'm asking you....
Thank you very much in advance
Regards
Davide

ok first things first......

attempt to boot up the machine FIRST from the battery.

now attempt to boot up from AC power WITHOUT the battery.

if you can boot from EITHER mode then your battery or power source has failed

if NEITHER work and you see the blue light at the power button then your board has failed.

Clevo D900t boards are used by a number of vendors ie Alienware, Sager, Hypersonic so as long as that board is made for a D900t then you are good.

the motherboard update you mentioned to control fan speed is a BIOS upgrade and can be downloaded from Sager or found on this site via search.

Sager does sell a new motherboard/gpu combination and psu upgrade, contact them by email to confirm that they are still selling this option. Last price I heard for this was in the 700-800 range.

good luck
