Need help, power is on, puter won't start

So today, I just bought a new computer, used from a guy on Craigslist, about $575, here are the specs I will make it very short and prompt.

E6300
680i EVGA Board
2 gigs xms2
160gig hdd wd 7200 RPM
7900GT KO 256mb
Ultra X 450 Watt, Thermaltake 500 watt PSU, I used both

Anyways, I see the leds on the motherboard, blue and yellow on the very top right, so the motherboard is receiving power. I get a screw driver or a piece of metal and touch the pins where the power switch should connect to, no spark, nothing, no turn on. Can anyone help me? I tried two PSU's so it can't be the PSU, CPU heatsink is plugged in, P4 connector is plugged in, I ran in with just the motherboard and cpu, on a big piece of foam. Your help, and advice will be commended.

Thanks!

Could be a number of things. Do you see anything at all on the screen when you turn it on? Cmos/post test? Do you hear any beeps? Did you check if the gpu is seated properly?

Please describe problem a little bit more.

yea, you really shoulda just plugged it into a power switch to begin with before going through all this hassle...When you cut corners, this is what you can expect.
