I hope someone out there can help me, last week i installed a new pci card on my machine so I could access my home network, after installing all the drivers for the new card i was unable to access the internet via my modem, everytime i dial, my isp verifies my username and pw i get logged on then the modem dissconnects me and tries to redial. I unistalled the pci card and all of it's drivers and put my notebook back to it's original condition before the installation but it still won't work. I am using a Toshiba Portege' 7040 ( I know it's an older machine but it works good enough for me.) I am also still running windows 98, which i unstand is the majority of my problems but the modem worked prior to the installation. The only concern i had while i was loading the new pci card was that i had to add additonal tcp/ip's which the os told be I was going over my allowed amout so i deleted the couple i was no longer using. If anyone can help or point to a place that can help me i would be very appreciative.
