Hi there people!
I just bought my first laptop (yeah, ever!), a Dell Inspiron 1521... and I was wondering if it is possible for me to upgrade its graphics card. Of course, the integrated video card (x1270 Xpress) sucks and I need more performance. I'd like to be able to play Company of Heroes, even if only with every setting at low... right now, I can't!
Now, I know some laptops can be upgraded... but can mine be? And if it can, where and how should I look for a graphics adapter for it? I looked on eBay and got confused by tons of laptop video cards, auctions stating parts numbers... it's all gibberish to me.
For instance, how can I discover which Dell part numbers will fit on my laptop? And can I buy some sort of generic graphics card (just like for desktops) or do I absolutely have to stick with Dell parts?
Please someone help me!
EDIT: I'm running XP on there... just in case this matters in any way.
