O.k. i have been looking around for a laptop for x-mas the only thing is I'm on a very tight budget and don't know much about computers. I'm just looking for a notebook that can play bf2 on medium smoothly or at least any level smoothly. but i can only stay around $800 and i know you can't get much for that but is there anything?

I would also be playing cod, cod2 and CSS

So thank you

there are some laptops with the new 88s in them 8800M GTX and GTS they currently can be found in dell and alienware systems sager is also a good choice i would go with the 8700M gt in sli!

clearly didn't pay any attention to the price limit eagle

Check around for either an Inspiron E1705 or E1720 on the cheap with an x1400 or 7900GS/8600GT.

With that budget, it's really hard. I'd say going desktop for you would be the best choice for you.

I play BF2 everything on High excluding the dynamic crap and AA. With a I9300 from dell, PM 2.0, 2 gig Ram, 6800go 256mb.

It's all about the ram

BF2 has alot of sound issues as well. Maybe one of the patches fixed it but I've heard stories or comments that turning down your Sound Excelleration improves overall performance with that game.

I'm not sure you if you should jump on that or not. The 7400go is by no means a performance laptop card hmm what would work best
