Should i buy a macbook pro now?

hey guys.
i have an alienware m9700 which i bought a year ago. but im getting tired of it not because its bad or anything but i just want a laptop. after i bought a ps3 i dont really need a gaming pc. also im tired of vista and windows in general so im buying a macbook pro.

but here's the thing my cousin bought a macbook pro and he's happy with it. he also convinced me into getting one. but what i need help with is that i dont want to buy one now only to find a new macbook pro early next year or something.

i want to know how long does is take apple to change its laptops. if there is any news of them making a new one soon or something. is it the right time to buy one..

and im not really in any hurry to get one.

The next set of revisions will likely come at Macworld, about mid-january if memory serves, but I don't expect much other than the possible inclusion of a 13" MBP for the Macbook Pro line myself.

cool id like to choose between a 13" and a 15".. but do you guys think they will change the anything with the 15 or 17?

and also how long do you guys think they'll release the new design?

It may happen in January, but it's more likely to be specification changes rather than a redesign. Perhaps LED backlighting on the 17" and maybe a GPU upgrade, but no guarantees.

ok cool ill wait till macworld and see what they'll change. now what i need to know.

if they did notchange/change the laptop. how long does it usually take them to do the next change?

Usually Apple releases things every few months lately. But the most notable changes usually come during the winter and summer conferences.
