No sh!t.

I know most you are members of/read several different forums. Everywhere you look you have mods locking/editing/deleting posts. I've read a few that are just downright hilarious.

Hmm that's a pretty weird reason for not liking Nvidia, quite original I must say, but as long as you're happy then it's all good.

I like the green and black myself generally, although I also like the red of ATi. Really I just like to buy whatever is the best for me at the time

HP's Blackbird 002 modified Striker Extreme mobo allows both Nvidia and ATI cards, despite being an Nvidia chipset.

Nice.

Uhhhh - clarify?

I think he meant it can run ati and nvida cards, but every mobo can. Just not sli or crossfire.

There isn't a mobo out that can do both sli and crossfire.

Yeah, that's what I ment. The modified Striker Extreme in HP's Blackbird 002 system can run either SLI or Crossfire.

Last time ATi was beating NVIDIA up was in the days of the Radeon 9700/9800s and the (absolutely horrible) GeForce FX. But then again, the FX wasn't entirely NVIDIA's fault, but moreso M$' fault for withholding the DX9 spec from them as leverage for the XBOX components.

But yeah, after the GeForce FX fiasco, NVIDIA's pretty much remained on top from the GeForce 6800 and up.

that's when I switched from ATI, and have not looked back since.

ATI has not even come close since then, and still has not from a peformance basis
