Every Vista Owner with Flicker needs to know this!

I have had a major problem with my M1710 having a fit when running on batteries!

theres a slight flicker when running aero on vista, but the computer has a major fit when running Studio 11 from pinnacle.

have had a great deal of discusion with dell and Tech support with out success.
they suggested new mother board and 7950gtx card!

anyway through reading alot of posts on the forum i tried increasing the clock speeds of the 2d setting on the graphics card

the core is now set at 150 and memory 200

i tried it at 100/150 as suggested on another post.

However 150/200 has created significant performance increase when editting on pinncle studio 11! and vista areo runs smooth as silk

Increasing the Clock speeds cures the flickering problem!

i hope this is not old news but i have done alot of research on this

open to comments

im just glad i can finally use the laptop as designed, mobile!

Please let me know what problem you have over clocking?
It took me awhile to figure it out, and i had done it before! about a year ago.

If your using Vista make sure you call up the start menue and right click over the programe your using to read bios and run as adminstrator.

i could only get an old version of nib tor to work

anyway let me know where your going wrong

will try and help

how bad would it do to the 7950 for o/c the 2d portion?
Is it still underclocked compare to the 3D speed?

And does it really make vista desktop faster?

Thanks! I actually just found the 169.04 M6 64-bit version so I just updated my drivers and now it seems like I can OC without a problem.

What every Vista owner needs to do is switch back to XP. Am I a hater? NO. I've used both extensively. Premature ejaculation. Use XP until it is no longer supported. I don't care what your friends say.

Haha I am spending this weekend comtemplating this question.

Well that's only my opinion, but if it wasn't legit, there wouldn't be a commercial about folks switching back.

Haha I guess so.

Hey photoscubaman, I take it back. I need your help! Haha I got my core speed up to 600 but my mem speed will not budge. Any ideas? I have a 7900gtx with driver 169.04 and using ATItool to OC.
