Hi, could you guys tell if this would work for most of games? Could I play all these new-gen games, and if yes, how far could I go with graphics?

Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 2,2GHz 4MB cache
2GB DDR2
MB Intel PM965 + ICH8M
Geforce 8600M GT 512MB
DVDRW DL, 250GB Samsung S-ATA 8MB cache, Intel 4965AGN wifi, 10/100/1000 LAN, modem, 4xUSB, 1x1394 (firewire), IRDA, Fingerprintreader, VGA output, S-Video output/input, Bluetooth, expresscard socket, microphone input and speaker output, speakers, integrated microphone, webcam, 3 in 1 memorycard reader (SD/MMC/MS), 15.4" monitor

Dont have too much money to spend on it and this is best I found, what would you pay for it (How much is it worth)?

Thanks!

I have an asus G1 thats slighty slower T7200 2ghz and 7700 go and mine does all that as well, so you should be rockin
post #6 of 17
SWEET MarcusManzoni i luv the ASUS G1S hell asus is a cool company ur laptop is also performance so thats cool! the newer G1's come with a T7500 and a 8600GT 256MB now!
Yea the G1 does rock, but as soon as the new alienware 17" SLI monster comes out i'm getting it alienware m17x look it up, it's insane.

Everything that you detailed seems fine for some great gaming to come, but I was just wondering what resolution all of this would be running at. Assuming you are not trying to run this at a really high resolution (be it native or on a external monitor) you should be fine.

I'm also running 15.4" monitor right now, and I'm used with 1280x800 resolution (Highest I can get), so that what I'm most likely going to use...
Great, i think with that kind of specs, you can do a lot of things specially gaming.
that alienware customized costs over 2k lol but hey i am a alienware man but i usually stick to my desktop :P oh and my screen is a 15.4" native res @ 1280*800 but i play @ 1024 by 768 its great in some games i play at native res but i dont go lower than 1024*768!

Those specs look good. However, that 8600mGT will probably be your weak point (those cards aren't exactly the top of the line... )
yeah buddy but the 86GT is a damn good card i the all the games mentioned above at it and it played them flawlessly!

Haven't x600 always considered as good price-performance ratio card? I mean 6600 and 7600 have been like this, I have read? Dont know about M cards, they should be just somewhat cooler than regular desktop cards?
dude real gamers play on desktops laptops are for when ur on the go therefore all performance midrange cards are the best buy! lol the best u can get say u have a desktop with a 88GTX and ur laptop has dual that ur desktop will still own its ass in terms of procs, ram, gfx and more ask soulsaver the performance cards are the best priced and performance ones u can find all at 1300 or 1600$ not 5 or 6K LOl u prob spent less on a better desky!
You might as well say to all of us that real gamers only play console games, and just alienate the rest of the PC crowd while you are at it =)

hehe

Real gamers. That has to be one of the dumbest comments I have seen in a while.
