That's the one. [on XP] (Actually, I'm using the NBF MobileForce Enhanced drivers, but the same base version...) You think I need to downgrade? What's the last version that supports software OC'ing (either NBF or not...)? Does 169.04?
EDIT: Scratch that. It did work, and ATITool overclocks it fine. But I've got a new issue. My temps are at ~50-55 idle, ~65-70 stressed (using ATITool). I'm at 485/615 (with some yellow dots, but not too much). My temps are fine, I think. So why, when I bring up the core to past 500 or the memory to past 615, do I get massive artifacts and system crashes?
They aren't actually that temperature, i believe the offset is 8. so it'd be more near 80c stressed. Also, to overclock past around 450 or so core you'll probably have to flash the 1.27v bios. Lastly, not all cards are created alike, not all memory overclocks 200mhz, YMMV, etc.
Flashing to 1.27v version of the BIOS worked for me. I had the exact same issues when around the clocks you mentioned above. I thought my card was taking a dump. I ended up buying the 130w ac/ps (usually for XPS), flashing to the higher volts = happiness.
Ordered two genuine Dell 150 watt refurbished PSUs for $60. They don't come with power cords, but I already have one. Got one yesterday, and it runs much cooler than the knock-off I had before. PSU's dying is inevitable, so why pay $119 for new ones?
