Another what router should I buy thread

Since I moved, my wrt54g v2 can't service the whole apartment (and I can't move it to the middle, sweet spot). So I was thinking about a (very) good router that can be placed as an AP on the other side of my home.

I was thinking about the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54, heard only good things about this model, and I guess it is the one. Sadly, the aussies waited until wifi was a widespread tech to only then fill a patent suit and Buffalos are out everywhere except ebay. Anyway, I don't mind buying on ebay, but I would prefer not to.

What models you have? How is the range?

Thanks!

This is the router I've had for about 18mos.

Strong signal throughout 2-story house w/basement.

I'm sure there are better ones....

Thanks for the suggestion... I would like to keep everything Linksys-based, specially because I have some 9dbi spare antennas (rp-tnc, useful for linksys only, probably. others use rp-sma).

Tsc, tsc... sometimes I think I should just get two more 54GLs and use them as APs. Good, reliable, tweakable, replaceable antennas... like... 4yrs old router breed that still kicks some a**.

If you're looking for a long range badboy, that's what you want. I read about it before and went with the WRT54GS though, but only because for the price I found it was worth it in comparison to the long range one since I'm only 60ft (maximum) away from it.
