New laptop - 6790 vs 5791

Well the last time I posted here I was having issues with my 9860, the whole mobo and video card meltdown thing, lol.

Its time to buy a new laptop again. What is currently the best price vs performance laptop out there? I can go about 1800 tops on price. I bought my 9860 about 10 days after release, before everyone knew what issues they would have, so reliability is a huge requirement.

Im primarily looking at the 6790 @ $1310 vs. the 5791 @ $1835. These prices are with 2gig of ram and the 3 year warranty. Are their any other options out there that fall within this price range with good performance and reliability?

I know the 6790 has a slower video card, the 8400, whereas the 5791 is soon to have the 8800. Is it worth the extra money for this? This PC will be primarily used for online gaming (MMO), web surfing and maybe watching movies once in awhile.

Also I have read the 5791 review that is here and it sounds like a good machine. My primary concern is longevity. A 3 year warranty is a step in the right direction, but I don't want to screwing around sending my laptop in for repairs all the time even with a warranty.

Are there any reviews out there on the 6790? Id like to get a general idea of what they are like.

TIA

They just opened up the NP5792 and the 9262 for pre-orders with 8800 GTX in them.

The 5792's are running right around $2200 with a 3 year warranty. A little more than I wanted to spend, but may be worth it.

My stand has changed slightly as well. Im primarily looking at the 5791/2 now. Is their something out there comparable?
