Wait, you have a 17" widescreen 1024 x 768 monitor panel?? I thought they would be 1440 x 900, 1680 x 1050 or 1920 x 1200??

Hi BFish06

Remember I constructed mine for any parts I could get at the time. You can get all sorts mine is not the standard.

Alright, I was just wondering. 1024 x 768 isn't widescreen, so that confused me.

Hey Tricky,

How would I go about removing the inverter? It's attached to 3 wires, one of which comes out easily but the other 2 don't come out so willingly, so I'm wondering if there is some specific method or am I just supposed to apply more force (which is a scary thought).

Hi enjeru
The inverter connection are all just plugs and sockets. The cables plugs should just pull out. I would suggest to be on the safe side when pulling the plugs (If they are a bit stiff) Hold the socket with a firm grip. this should stop you pulling the socket off the circuit board.
I must say though I have never experienced these to be unwilling.
Hope this helps?
What are you trying to do? Is the inverter fried?

Yes, I'm trying to replace a fried inverter.

My m7700 has this inverter: http://www.laptopking.com/partpictur...egory=inverter

I got the two plugs out from both sides, but the third plug (the one under the word "top" in the link) refuses to come out. I'm trying my best not to break anything important >.>.

Thats strange..... Its just a normal plug like the other two. If the inverter is fried then it shouldn't matter if the socket gets damaged.

Unless someone has glued it into place.
I think you will have to get brutal with it
