Max RAM Supported for Asus L5GA

I've bought this laptop some years ago and everything has been good-to-go. However I've switched over to Vista some months back and just seen that I could use an upgrade from 1GB of RAM to 2GB. However I do not know if my laptop supports it. I've emailed Asus support but have not heard back from them. I've searched online and cannot find any information. I have done a scan on some websites but the results are unclear to me, some say 1GB and some say 2GB.

If anyone knows for sure, that would be greatly appreciated. Again my laptop is a Asus L5GA. As far as the BIOS goes, I checked it out it follows: AMI BIOS version 0208 and the build date is 05/10/04.

So any help will be greatly appreciated!

If no one has any input, maybe I can get a point in the right direction? Thanks.

I had the same question my self and actually for the same exact reason... Fortunately I had better luck with customer support (I think they guarantee a response within 48 hours...) Anyway their response was that our mainboard only supports 1024MB DDR 266/333 SDRAM... I don't know if that is correct but that was what they told me...

Best regards
