Codex,

There is ghosting in games where you look at bright images such as skies. The LCD's will never look as good as a CRT (regular tube monitor) if that is what you are used to.

I also can see ghosting in scenerios such as skies and fire when I move my mouse around quickly. Yet to me the trade off of being able to take my computer with me everywhere I go makes a bit of ghosting well worth it.

You have to do the "cost vs benefit" analysis for yourself. Every LCD will have a degree of ghosting, although some are very close to zero, in certain situations. We're limited by technologies.

There is no driver fix for this...it is what it is.

Craig, I agree with everything you said, but you can get a lot of ghosting IF... you have your refresh set too low, or even too high for your LCD to handle. I'd go into the ATI utility and check out the refresh rate (under the monitor tab) and make sure that it's set to 60. Other than that, adjust your gamma a bit (if it's too bright you can get ghosting too, but not often).

That's all I can think of

Agreed. Too much gamma is bad news. Same for refresh.

yeah... and the new BIOS is another potential problem. For some reason a lot of systems still shut down for no apparent reason.

Weird...
