I just bought an inspiron 6000 for cheap with no hard drive. It fires right up but it has a black screen, I hooked it up to my desktop monitor and still no picture and hit fn +f8 a few times.Now I am not sure if there is no picture because there isnt a hardrive, What key do I hit to enter bios so that I know there is something to show on external screen? Also took it apart and reseated all connectors and that didnt help. Is the backlight seperate from the inverter? What should I try to narrow this down to one faulty part? The screen looks new I cant see any apparent cracks or flaws within. Thanks for your time
