dell vostro 1400 blue screen error

Thread Starter
I recently purchased Dell vostro 1400 like a week ago. I am trying to upgrade from vista home basic to business edition. In the last step it gives me blue screen error. Before it asks to choose the computer name and password.

The error disappears so fast that i cant see the error code. Does anyone knows what is the issue?

Amazing is it can run vista home basic without any problem. I got the new dvd of vista business and i tried ultimate edition also. Both are having blue screen error.

1. Installed(clean install) vista business- blue screen error
2. Installed(clean install) homa basic - no error runs good.
3. Upgraded to vista basic to see if its runs or not. - as soon their is upgrade blue screen error.

I have dual core2 1.8Ghz
2Gb ram
120Sata hard drive
gforce graphics card
webcam, bluetooth 350 and intel 3945.

Is it me having this odd problem or all?

Thanks

go into the bios and look for a setting about "disable restart on hardware error" then you should be albe to read the 0x0 code otherwise i dunno, i got a dell vista ultimate cd and installed it just fine on my 1400.
