I forgot to mention that I beleive these new Vostro/Inspiron desktops are built by ASUS. I know the AMD ones are since there's ASUS logos all over the motherboard and even the chassis fan. I'm not 100% certain on the Intel powered ones.

Well, I haven't seen any ASUS stickers so far on the machine. It is, however, incredibly fast. The 2.33GHz processor and 2 GB ram is pretty much outperforming my macbook with a 2.0GHz with 3GB in Vista.

Ok, I propped open the box and couldn't find any ASUS stickers... I didn't even find any Intel stickers.. so I'm not sure.

On some gaming note, OMG.. I CAN'T BELIEVE MY EYES.. the graphics are amazing. I'm running at 1680x1050 in games such as Call of Duty 4, Enemy Territory Quake Wars, X3 Reunion.. most of them at all high or close to high.

Oh ya, pix.. I'll get them soon.. lol

Like I said, I know the AMD machines are built by ASUS for Dell. The Inspiron 531 and 531S. The 531s use the same chassis as the Intel Powered Inspiron 530 and Vostro desktops. I think maybe on the Intel ones there are no ASUS logos is all. Heck, the Inspiron 531 service manual shows an LGA775 motherboard in the pictures and not an AM2
