Just installed Mandrake 10 on my 8887, and the only problems i have sofar is the soundcard, which skips like crazy on all audio, & the graphics card drivers which won't go over 24 bit...

If i have any more problems i'll post them asap, but for now i could use halp with these ones...

Thanks!

The ATI drivers are 24 bit only - its just the way they are. Make sure you are loading the right alsa drivers for your card.

Hrmm grab the latest kernel and recompile - could be an issue with that version of the source. 2.6.3-7 I think is the latest mandrake one.

With what apps does it skip? When it gets a drive access, idling or what? That might help us point you in the right direction. Are you running SMP or plain vanilla kernel?
