Cell phone PDA with Navigation

Hi. i have a new cell phone (ETEN G500) and has a built-in navigation system. all i need to do is install software.

i was wondering which is the best & most user friendly software out there? Are there any freeware applications?

One last question: do all GPS navigation software all require an internet connection? i dont have a data plan with my service and would like to not use the internet.

thanks!

Does it have built in GPS? And why would you get a Smart phone without data?

This review here states how they set up the GPS and the software they used.

I am still a college student and yes with mom & dad paying the bill (on a family plan but i still pay my portion). They don't use the internet and such so why should they pay for the increase in cell service if they dont use it? plus the phone i bought off ebay was unlocked. (in response to reply #2's post)

but anyway i wanted to know are there any freewares available for me to instal the GPS software as well as have maps of the U.S. installed with all full features like route guidance, voice guidance, and such? i essentially want my parent's magellan nav system and have that be in my phone... without the internet being connected. is my only answer is to "buy" it?

From what I read in the review yes the only way to get the software is to buy it. And for your not getting data that makes perfect sense, I am just used to dealing with the company directly so you have to get data to get the phone/PDA at a discounted price. Good luck with getting it up and running man.
